Rating and Investment Information, Inc. (R&I), an affiliate company of Nikkei Inc, is Japan's largest rating agency established in 1998. It was formed through the merger of two rating agencies. R&I's business experience spans nearly 50 years, including the period before the merger. It has consistently held the top position in terms of ratings coverage for new issues of publicly offered bonds and structured finance product in Japan. In ESG finance, R&I provides assessments on whether the proceeds are used for environmental and social objectives. It is committed to expanding the market and achieving a sustainable society through its reliable evaluation services.
